1. Parties & Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in events organised by the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) (“Organizer”). DZ COM acts as the Organizer’s technology and communication partner (“Tech Partner”), providing registration, payment, notification and check-in systems. By registering, purchasing a ticket, or attending the event, each participant (“Participant”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility & Registration
- Participants must provide accurate, current and complete information during registration.
- The Organizer may reject or cancel a registration at its discretion (capacity limits, safety, or non-compliance).
- Student/discounted categories may require proof at check-in. Failure to provide proof may result in paying the public rate or denial of entry.
3. Fees & Payments
- All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
- Payments are processed via ToyyibPay. By paying, you agree to ToyyibPay’s terms as well.
- Invoices/receipts will be issued electronically to the registered email.
- Registrations are confirmed only after successful payment.
4. Transfer, Substitution & Name Changes
- Tickets are non-transferable unless expressly allowed.
- Substitution may be requested by emailing mars.pspm@gmail.com at least 48 hours before the event.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Participant-initiated: All ticket purchases are strictly non-refundable, regardless of cancellation notice or no-show.
- Organizer-initiated: If the event is cancelled without a new date, a full ticket refund will be issued. If postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date, or a refund can be requested within 7 days of notice.
6. Program Changes
The Organizer may change venue, agenda, format, speakers, or schedule when necessary. Such changes do not entitle participants to refunds unless otherwise stated above.
7. Venue Rules, Health & Safety
- Participants must comply with all instructions from Organizer, venue management, and authorities.
- The Organizer may deny entry or remove participants for unsafe, disruptive, or non-compliant behaviour.
- Participants attend at their own risk and should consider their personal health needs.
8. Code of Conduct
- Respect all attendees, staff, and speakers. Harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Commercial solicitation is only allowed with written consent from the Organizer.
9. Media & Recording
The event may be photographed, recorded or livestreamed. By attending, you consent to your image being used in event documentation and promotional materials without further notice or compensation.
10. Intellectual Property
Event materials (slides, handouts, recordings, trademarks) remain protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are transferred to participants without written consent.
11. Accessibility & Dietary Requests
The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests if notified at least 7 days before the event via mars.pspm@gmail.com.
12. Force Majeure
The Organizer is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its control (natural disasters, government restrictions, health emergencies, etc.).
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, the Organizer and Tech Partner shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses. Maximum liability is limited to the ticket price paid.
14. Indemnity
Participants agree to indemnify the Organizer and Tech Partner for claims resulting from their breach of these Terms.
15. Personal Data
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Malaysian law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
